Worship is considered to be an everyday activity, a consistent and close walk with God as a living sacrifice, an attitude which shapes all that we think, say and do. Musical worship is no lesser or greater than worship lived out everyday, but still has a special place in the church as a vehicle for a corporate expression of love and adoration to God.

When we come together to worship at Greyfriars we seek to glorify God, not simply as subjects and servants, but as children with access to His throne, into his intense presence for the most intimate of encounters. This is reflected in the way that we worship together, in the structure and liturgy that we use, in the songs that we choose and in the way that we corporately seek the Holy Spirit's direction as He seeks to glorify the Father.

There is a wide range of music and musical gifts in Greyfriars. There is no formal choir at weekly services but groups of singers and musicians lead under the planning and direction of the Worship Pastor and other members of the congregation.  On festive occasions an orchestra and large choir are assembled.

On a Sunday we have three services:

10:30am Morning Service
A mix of modern and more traditional music, children stay in church for the first part of the service and then have their own special group activities.
4:30pm Evening Prayer
A quieter afternoon service preceded by tea at 4pm. The service lasts one hour.
7:00pm Evening Service
A contemporary service in a relaxed atmosphere.

There is also a morning service at 10:30am at New Hope Community Church.
