Encounter With God Evening

Tuesday 7th September

Our next Encounter with God evening on Tuesday 7th September will have an Alpha focus.  Do put the date in your diary and join us in praying for the course this coming term.

Ride + Stride UK

Saturday 11th September

Ride + Stride raises funds to help restore & protect historic churches & chapels.  Last year 300 cyclists and walkers in Berkshire raised over £20,000 for participants' nominated churches and to help the Trust in renovating and restoring the churches of the county.

Alpha Launch Party

7.30pm, Saturday 18th September

Bring a guest to the Alpha Launch Party: Saturday the 18th September, 7.30pm at Greyfriars!  This will be a fantastic, informal evening with live music & a talk by HTB's Jamie Haith, on "The Gospel According to U2".  We will be serving cafe-style party food, coffee bar & drinks.  It's going to be a great party and a very approachable event to bring your friends to for a taster of Alpha, and a great celebration!  Tickets £5 from Helen Tinker.

 

Looking For A Home At Greyfriars

Autumn Heritage Weekend

11th & 12th September

Every year at this weekend, historic buildings in Reading open to the public.  At Greyfriars we provide guides to point out historical features, (Greyfriars has a long and interesting history), and to indicate the vibrancy of our church today.

 

Open Doors Special Regional Day: 'To The Ends Of The Earth'

Saturday 25th September, 11am to 4pm

Come and learn about how God is changing the lives of Muslims across the Arab world & beyond at Greyfriars on Saturday 25th September, 11am to 4pm.  Attendance is free but places are limited.  To book call 02392 296659 or email:- emmab at opendoorsuk dot org

 

Baptisms At Greyfriars

Sunday 3rd October

There will be an Adult baptism service on Sunday 3rd October.  If you are interested in being baptized or in finding out more about adult baptism please contact the church office or email Pads Dolphin.

The Baptism course is due to run throughout September at 5.30pm on Sundays.

 

Remembrance-tide Recital

Saturday 13th November

On the 13th November Greyfriars will host a Recital for Remembrance with all profits going to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.  Classical pianist and Greyfriars member Olivia Canolle will play a selection including Liszt and Chopin.

Tickets will be sold nearer the time.

 

Greyfriars @ Prayer

11am - Fourth Tuesday of each month

Join us for prayer on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 11am in the church.  It's an opportunity to pray for the needs of the church.  All are welcome.
