Who We Are:
We are a group, mostly in our 20s and 30s, about 100 in number and growing, who form part of the Greyfriars Church community.
Our aim is to be relevant, dynamic and attractive to a generation that needs to know Christ and to develop in their faith. We are committed to seeing ‘Church’ as who we are and what we do all week, rather than just a building or Sunday meeting.
What we do:
Bible studies, group meetings, social occasions, worship, prayer, special events, discussions, fun nights out...
On Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights we meet together in Small Groups (Cell Groups) at different homes for relationship, Bible study and discussions. These cells are an ideal environment to develop a sense of community, and to provide somewhere to study, question and discuss the Bible in a non-threatening and supportive environment.
We also hold events every two months for the whole of Connect to meet together. In the past this has included events such as praying and worshipping together, a progressive meal and summer BBQs.
Our vision is:
- To encourage those in their 20s and 30s into a deeper relationship with Christ;
- Supporting them as they work to grow in their faith;
- Providing training and a forum for developing spiritual gifts and abilities;
- Then releasing them to share Christ’s gospel
