Introduction

Our Centre is Greyfriars reaching out to the people of Reading six days a week. Over the course of the week 100’s of people come on to the site and we are able to develop personal relationships with our regular customers. The Centre has three principle activities: the bookshop, the coffee shop and room hire.

Coffee Shop

Our coffee shop has become a regular meeting point for many people who enjoy a warm welcome, a peaceful atmosphere and a friendly service. We are able to offer a wide selection of food and drinks at very reasonable prices.

Our staff of fulltime and part-time volunteers not only serve but also are also willing to sit and be a listening ear if that is what you need (apart from the times when they are rushed off their feet!)

Opening times:

Monday – Friday: 10.00am - 3.00pm
Saturday:          10.00am - 2.00pm

Bookshop

Our well-stocked bookshop has a wide selection of books, DVDs, CD’s and cards. If there are certain items that we do not have in stock we are more than happy to order them for you and they usually arrive within 1-3 days.

See our Bookshop web page for more information.

Room Hire

Being in the town centre of Reading we are a popular location for those wishing to hire rooms. We have 5 meeting rooms that are used extensively during the week by different church groups and outside organisations. We are able to provide good conference facilities, including refreshments for up to 100 people. Our prayer is that each organisation that uses our premises will see the love of God in action through those who work in the Centre.

Our main client is Eurospeak, who teaches English to foreign students. They are here  each day and if you would like more information there is some available at the reception desk in the Centre.

For further information visit our "Room Hire" web page.
